A Melee Weapon is any tool that is helpful for dealing damage in Melee Combat.
Bonus
Melee weapons are considered to have one stat, a Bonus between 1 and 3 added to Physical Ability while fighting with it.
The different bonuses are given using the following approximate categories:
- Small simple weapons, such as a knife or baton.
- Significant but still reasonably sized weapons, such as a sword or mace.
- Big weapons, large two-handed sword or similar.
Damage
Melee Weapon Damage is calculated similarly to Unarmed Damage, but with the relevant Melee Weapon's Bonus added to your Physical Ability.
Melee Weapon Damage = (Physical Ability + Melee Weapon Bonus) / 3 (round down)
