Blood Potency describes the strength of The Beast within a kindred's blood, and with that the strength of the blood itself. The Beast grows in strength as long as the kindred survives, for every 25 years of undead existence Blood Potency increases by 1.

Effects of higher Blood Potency

Smell

The blood potency is very noticeable to other kindred, who find the smell of it better the higher blood potency rises.

Odds of successful Embrace

Weaker blood is less probable to turn a dying human into a Kindred.

Some Disciplines

For example Animalism 3: Crush the Beast depends on the strength of your beast to be able to crush the targets beast.
